These sumps were designed for the serious reefer or cichlid keeper in mind. You can get three times the water flow with this sump designs for those high flow situations and you get several different area's to contain media in for both biological and chemical filteration. Finally you can have both, great filteration and high water flows to help maintain those minimum water turnovers of 10-15 times an hour.

1-This is your water inlet area for your sump. Nice and spacious and no restriction from built in hoses, inlets or specialty desinged intakes. Just wide open area for you to use any type of supply line or hose you have. Plus being extra deep gives you the added option of filling this area with larger sized bio media like BioBalls.

2- This is our first of many overflow area's in this high flow sump system. This over flow is across the entire width of the sump to ensure you get good even distribution across the filter media that follows.

3-This is the first location for fibre filter media. This is where you really want to utilize the high flow capabilities of this sump to help trap any particulates and help to maintain crystal clear water. This tray that the media sits on is completely removable as well for easy replacement or cleaning as needed. Plus that gives you extra access to the next area of this unique high flow sump from H₂Oasis.

4-This is another usefull area for bio-media and or more micro floss mechanical media. Great place to add those BioBalls, ceramic media or blocks, plus it has another large opening screen that you can place optional sponges or floss in to even further remove any particulates from your system.

5-This is our first high flow ultra media area. The biggest issue with high flow sumps is the water moving too fast to allow beneficial bacteria to grow and stabilize the system. These area's (3 of them) are full width of the sump to ensure you get a constant and even water flow across your media. This would be for a smaller media like ceramic pills, balls, spheres or mini bioballss.

6-Works just like area 5 but can also be used as an added chemical filteration area, since you can access it by removing the top layer, you can add your chemical media's here like for phosphate and ammonia products.

7-This is the top of the three high flow even distribution area's. This is great location for adding products like your charcoal/carbon, sponges, and or any other media that requires scheduled changes. This area is wide open and easy to get to so that your maintenance task are completed quickly as possible so you can get back to enjoying your fish and or reef.

8-This is our next waterfall overflow area. This area helps to re-oxygenate the water and speed the flow back up for final delivery to the return area. There is also a verticle large opening divider at the bottom of this overflow area to add that last bit of micron sized mechanical filteration media. It has a bottom flow thru area to send the water to the final stage of the sump system for return to the main system.

9-This is the return sump area. Nice and roomy to add your pumps, skimmers, heaters, chiller probes and any other additional products and materials that you want to keep out of your main system. We can provide these as plain box sumps or pre-drilled for external pumps and plumbing.

As you can see. There is no other sump/filter system like this one from H₂Oasis anywhere on the market. Finally there is a sump/filter that was created by an active aquariast for all aquarium enthusiast.
